AVALIST — Ukraine

AVALIST is a Ukrainian non-governmental organization established in 2018, building upon volunteer and civic initiatives that emerged to support vulnerable communities during periods of social instability and humanitarian crisis. The organization works extensively in the fields of humanitarian assistance, social protection, community resilience and psychosocial support, particularly targeting internally displaced persons, vulnerable families, children, elderly people and communities affected by conflict and socio-economic hardship.

Its activities combine emergency response with long-term community development approaches. AVALIST implements programmes related to humanitarian aid distribution, access to food and medicine, hygiene and sanitation support, shelter rehabilitation, psychological assistance and protection services, while also fostering social inclusion and local empowerment initiatives. The organization collaborates with national and international partners to strengthen the capacity of local communities and improve access to essential services, while promoting dignity, resilience and sustainable recovery pathways for people facing vulnerable conditions.

In addition to humanitarian action, AVALIST actively contributes to civic engagement and social innovation processes by encouraging participatory approaches, local cooperation and community-based solutions. Through its multidimensional interventions, the organization seeks not only to address immediate needs, but also to support social cohesion, long-term wellbeing and the reconstruction of resilient communities across Ukraine.
